Start with your study level and field
Before comparing universities, be clear about the level you are entering — foundation, diploma, bachelor's, master's or PhD — and the field you want to study. This narrows the list quickly and keeps entry requirements realistic.
Shortlist institutions
Malaysia hosts public universities, private universities, international branch campuses and colleges. Each has different entry requirements, intakes, fee structures and campus environments. Shortlist three to five that match your profile.
Prepare your documents early
Most applications need academic transcripts and certificates, a passport copy, photographs and English-language evidence where required. Certified translations may be needed for documents not issued in English.
Apply, accept and move to the student pass stage
After you accept an offer, your institution supports the student pass process. Requirements can change, so always confirm the current process with your institution and the relevant Malaysian authorities.
